The middle of September Ben and I went with my family to Lake Powell for the weekend. Lake Powell is one of my family traditions. We love going in fall, it feels like we have the Lake to ourselves. Ben went Wake Boarding for the first time!! He did great. I love wake boarding more and more every time I go. At Lake Powell we have FOOD, games and fun. The trip for Ben and I was short but well worth every minute. We love family time.
September 24, 2013 I had come home from work and from visiting with a friend to find that Ben had sneaked in and surprised me with pedals and a beautiful cake. He Proposed to me that night of course!! Ben had the room perfect and of course he got down on one knee.
We were married December 14, 2013 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Ben's former mission president Elder Alonso married us. It was amazing having him be our temple sealer.
Our wedding day was a perfect day to start our eternity. We had a smaller family and friends dinner following the sealing next door at Joseph Smith Memorial.
Ben and I enjoy every minute of being married. We surprisingly got pregnant pregnant right away. We miscarried two times within our first year of being married. This was very hard for us. With me being 31 at the time, and Ben 30 we decided we should seek a specialist. After many tests from a specialist in our area it was confirmed we will unlikely carry a child and no treatments could change that. We were told we have ovarian failure. We both knew we wanted children and within a few days from meeting with our Dr we were ready to move on to adoption. We are so excited with the journey of Adoption. We cannot wait to be parents. We jumped into adoption with both feet in. Adoption is amazing from all sides.
Thanks for sharing your story. Wish you two the very best! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers ❤!
